Psaume 22 : Jésus était sur la croix, il a pris tous nos péchés sur lui et pour la première fois le Père a tourné son dos de lui, son fils. Et Jésus par David nous fait cette remarquable promesse. 1. Mon Dieu ! mon *Dieu ! pourquoi m’as-tu abandonné, [te tenant] loin de mon salut, — des paroles de mon rugissement ? - Ici, Jésus est sur la croix ! 2. Mon Dieu ! je crie de jour, mais tu ne réponds point ; et de nuit, et il n’y a point de repos pour moi. [en anglais : point de repos, de silence en moi] - Ici, Jésus est sur la croix ! 3. Et toi, tu es saint, toi qui habites [au milieu des] louanges d’Israël. Saviez-vous que c'est une promesse ? Tu es saint, Toi qui habites les louanges d'Israël ! C'est une promesse ! Qui nous l'a faite ? C'est Jésus qui, parlant par David, nous l'a donnée. Voulez-vous que Dieu se manifeste à vous ? Il vous montre ici exactement comment faire pour que Dieu se manifeste à vous : ''Tu habites les louanges d'Israël''. Et cette promesse, Jésus nous l'a faite alors qu'il était sur la croix. Regardons pourquoi :

Psaume 16 : 7. Je bénirai l’Éternel qui me donne conseil ; durant les nuits même mes reins m’enseignent. 8. Je me suis toujours proposé l’Éternel devant moi ; parce qu’il est à ma droite je ne serai pas ébranlé. 9. C’est pourquoi mon cœur se réjouit, et mon âme s’égaie ; même ma chair reposera en assurance. 10. Car tu n’abandonneras pas mon âme au shéol, tu ne permettras pas que ton saint voie la corruption. 11. Tu me feras connaître le chemin de la vie ; ta face est un rassasiement de joie, il y a des plaisirs à ta droite pour toujours. Bénis le Seigneur ma gloire (ou mon âme), mon cœur se réjouit, et mon âme s'égaie. Pourquoi ? Car même ma chair reposera en assurance et tu n'abandonneras pas mon âme au shéol ou en enfer. C'est Jésus qui parlait. Comment est-il sorti de l'enfer ? En louant le Père, en se réjouissant devant le Père. Tu ne laisseras pas mon âme en enfer, ton saint ne verras pas la corruption, tu me montreras le chemin de la vie, tu me montreras comment sortir de là ! Comment ? En louant le Père, parce qu'il habite les louanges d'Israël. C'est une promesse !

2 Chronicle 5: Salomon a achevé le temple de l'Eternel. C'est le premier jour de la consécration. Il a assemblé toutes les tribus d'Israël, les anciens, les prêtres, y compris les enfants et il a désigné les chantres et les musiciens : 13. il arriva, lorsque les trompettes et les chantres furent comme un seul homme pour faire entendre une même voix en louant et en célébrant l’Éternel, et qu’ils élevèrent la voix avec des trompettes, et des cymbales, et des instruments de musique, en louant l’Éternel de ce qu’il est bon, parce que sa bonté demeure à toujours, [il arriva] que la maison, la maison de l’Éternel, fut remplie d’une nuée ; 14. et les sacrificateurs ne pouvaient pas s’y tenir pour faire le service, à cause de la nuée, car la gloire de l’Éternel remplissait la maison de Dieu. Et Dieu s'est manifesté. Quand ? Dès qu'ils commencèrent à louer Dieu. Pourquoi ? Jésus a dit : Le Père habite les louanges d'Israël. Voulez-vous que Dieu se manifeste à vous ? Louez le.

Psaume 22: 26 Les débonnaires mangeront et seront rassasiés ; ceux qui cherchent l’Éternel le loueront ; votre cœur vivra à toujours. Si vous recherchez Dieu, vous le louerez. Pourquoi ? A cause de la promesse de Jésus : Dieu habite les louanges d'Israël.

2 Chronicle 20: 1. Et il arriva, après ces choses, que les fils de Moab et les fils d’Ammon, et avec eux une partie des Maonites, vinrent contre Josaphat pour faire la guerre. 2. Et on vint et on rapporta à Josaphat, en disant : Il est venu contre toi une grande multitude, de l’autre côté de la mer, de la Syrie ; et voici, ils sont à Hatsatson-Thamar, qui est En-Guédi. 3. Et Josaphat craignit, et tourna sa face pour rechercher l’Éternel, et proclama un jeûne par tout Juda. 13. Et tout Juda se tenait devant l’Éternel, avec leurs petits enfants, leurs femmes et leurs fils. Pourquoi tout le monde était là y compris les bébés ? Parce qu'ils ne voulaient pas être détruits, anéantis ! 14. Et l’Esprit de l’Éternel vint, au milieu de la congrégation, sur Jakhaziel, fils de Zacharie, fils de Benaïa, fils de Jehiel, fils de Matthania, lévite d’entre les fils d’Asaph. 15. Et il dit : Soyez attentifs, vous, tout Juda, et vous, habitants de Jérusalem, et toi, roi Josaphat. Ainsi vous dit l’Éternel : Ne craignez point, et ne soyez point effrayés à cause de cette grande multitude ; car cette guerre n’est pas la vôtre, mais celle de Dieu. 16. Demain, descendez contre eux : voici, ils vont monter par la montée de Tsits, et vous les trouverez au bout de la vallée, devant le désert de Jeruel. 17. Ce n’est point à vous de combattre en cette affaire (bataille) ; présentez-vous, [et] tenez-vous là, et voyez la délivrance de l’Éternel [qui est] avec vous. Juda et Jérusalem, ne craignez pas et ne soyez pas effrayés ; demain, sortez à leur rencontre, et l’Éternel sera avec vous. Et regardez ce que fait Josaphat : 18. Et Josaphat s’inclina le visage contre terre, et tout Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem tombèrent [sur leurs faces] devant l’Éternel, pour adorer l’Éternel. 19. Et les lévites d’entre les fils des Kehathites et d’entre les fils des Corites se levèrent pour louer l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël, à grande et haute voix. Et ils se levèrent de bonne heure le matin, et sortirent vers le désert de Thekoa ; et comme ils sortaient, Josaphat se tint là et dit : Écoutez-moi, Juda, et vous, habitants de Jérusalem : Croyez à l’Éternel, votre Dieu, et vous serez affermis ; croyez ses prophètes, et vous prospérerez. Voulez-vous prospérer ? 21. Et il tint conseil avec le peuple, et il établit des chantres pour l’Éternel, et ceux qui louaient dans la sainte magnificence, et disaient, en sortant devant les troupes équipées : Célébrez l’Éternel, car sa bonté [demeure] à toujours. 22. Et au moment où ils commençaient le chant de triomphe et la louange, l’Éternel mit des embûches contre les fils d’Ammon [et] de Moab et [ceux de] la montagne de Séhir, qui venaient contre Juda, et ils furent battus. A partir de quand les embûches ont-elles commencées ? Dès qu'ils ont commencé le chant de triomphe et la louange au Seigneur. Jésus a dit : c'est une promesse ! Dieu habite les louanges d'Israël. Il habite nos louanges.

Actes 16 : C'est une promesse ! Avez-vous besoin que Dieu se manifeste à vous ? Voilà comment : Ici Paul et Silas ont été arrêtés, fouettés publiquement et jetés en prison. 23. Et leur ayant fait donner un grand nombre de coups, ils les jetèrent en prison, en commandant au geôlier de les garder sûrement. 24. Celui-ci, ayant reçu un tel ordre, les jeta dans la prison intérieure et fixa sûrement leurs pieds dans le bois. Ils sont dans une grande difficulté, dans la pire partie de la prison. 25. Or sur le minuit, Paul et Silas, en priant, chantaient les louanges de Dieu ; et les prisonniers les écoutaient. Pourquoi ? Parce que Dieu habite les louanges ! 26. Et tout d’un coup il se fit un grand tremblement de terre, de sorte que les fondements de la prison furent ébranlés ; et au même instant toutes les portes s’ouvrirent, et les liens de tous furent détachés. 27. Et le geôlier, s’étant éveillé et voyant les portes de la prison ouvertes, tira son épée et allait se tuer, croyant que les prisonniers s’étaient enfuis. 28. Mais Paul cria à haute voix, disant : Ne te fais point de mal, car nous sommes tous ici. Quand Dieu s'est-il manifesté ? Lorsque Paul et Silas ont chanté la louange à Dieu.

Témoignage concernant Doyle : Il possédait une maison à McKinney alors qu'il vivait dans l'Etat du Missouri. Il devait vendre cette maison. Alors il a mis en pratique les versets du Psaume 100 : vous entrez dans ses portes avec des actions de grâce et dans ses parvis avec la louange. Pendant 30 mn, Doyle a rendu grâce à Dieu, et il lui a dit : à présent je suis entré dans tes portes. Puis il a loué Dieu pendant 30 mn, puis il lui a dit : Maintenant je sais que je suis en ta présence, selon ta parole. J'ai besoin de vendre cette maison. Je suis un homme d'affaires. Payer des frais sur une maison inoccupée, ce n'est pas exactement faire une bonne affaire. Puis il est allé se coucher. Le lendemain matin, l'agent immobilier l'appelle pour l'informer qu'il a vendu sa maison. Non, ce n'est pas lui, c'est Dieu qui l'a fait. Pourquoi ? Parce que Doyle a loué Dieu !

Témoignage personnel de Kathie : Un jour j'ai découvert qu'un enfant allait être expulsé de sa maison le lendemain. J'aimais cet enfant, j'aimais tous mes élèves. Ses parents étaient en grande difficulté et je ne savais pas quoi faire pour lui à part louer le Seigneur. Alors j'ai commencé à chanter la louange à Dieu à haute voix, dans la rue Legacy ainsi : ''Grande est ta fidélité O Dieu, mon Père en qui il n'y a pas d'ombre de changement, tu ne changes pas, tes compassions ne cessent pas, elles demeurent à toujours.'' C'est tout ce que j'ai chanté à Dieu. Et je n'ai pas cessé de chanter, encore et encore, ces paroles de louanges, puis j'ai loué Dieu : Tu es un Dieu fidèle, etc... tu dois faire quelque chose dans cette situation. Savez-vous quoi ? Dieu s'est manifesté. Je savais, étant encore dans la rue, que ma pétition avait été entendue de Dieu, parce que Dieu habite nos louanges. Le lendemain, j'ai lu que leurs grand-parents étaient intervenus et avaient loué une maison pour les enfants. Ils ont dit aux parents : vous pouvez y demeurer à condition que vous vous conduisiez correctement, sinon nous vous expulserons, parce que cet endroit est pour les enfants. Savez-vous qui a fait cela ? Le père d'Abraham, d'Isaac et de Jacob. Vous ne savez pas comment louer Dieu ? Vous pouvez le louer pour les choses que Jésus a faites pour vous. Qu'a-t-il fait pour vous ? Il a porté vos péchés, votre rejet, votre pauvreté, vos maladies, vos douleurs et vos infirmités, il a tout porté pour vous. Quand nous louons Dieu pour ces choses, que nous le lui rappelons et que nous le glorifions pour tout ce qu'il a fait pour nous, savez-vous ce qui se passe ? Dieu se manifeste parce qu'il habite nos louanges. C'est une promesse !

El significado de la Salvación

Tú estás salvado. ¿Qué es lo que significa? La palabra "salvado" quiere decir ser hecho sano o establecerse en seguridad. Tú tienes que retener en memoria o aferrarte al evangelio que se predicó. Si te aferras a la verdad de la muerte, el entierro y la resurrección del Señor Jesucristo, ¡tú estás salvado! Es así de simple.

Yo he conocido cristianos que me han dicho: "Yo he estado bajo tal ataque que dudo que yo esté salvado". ¿Quiéres saber por qué cuestionan su salvación? Ellos dudan porque no saben nada de la muerte, el entierro y la resurrección del Señor Jesucristo.

El Espíritu de Dios me habló y dijo: "Yo no encargué a mi gente en ir y predicar "se salvado". Yo dije a mi gente ve y predica el evangelio a toda criatura".

"Predicar el evangelio" es la comisión. Lelo por ti mismo en Marcos 16:15. La escritura no dice: "Ve y has que la gente sea salvada". Dice: "Predica el evangelio". ¿Por qué? Porque tú estás salvado(a) si te aferras al (evangelio).

Si te aferras a "ser salvo", tú probablemente no lo estás. Yo se que esto va a sacudir muchas fundaciones falsas en el mundo. Sin embargo, 1 Corintios 15:2 es muy claro, que cualquiera puede leerlo y decir que tienes que aferrarte al evangelio que fue predicado. La muerte, el entierro y la resurrección del Señor Jesucristo.

No Creas en Vano

Ahora, termina 1 Corintios 15:2:

... la palabra que os he predicado, sois salvos, si no creísteis en vano.

Tú puedes creer en vano. Si tú no te aferras al evangelio, la muerte, el entierro y la resurrección del Señor Jesucristo, tú has creído en vano. Esto no es "una vez a salvo, siempre a salvo". Si tú no continúas creyendo, tú has creído en vano.

Pablo Recibió el Evangelio

Continúemos con 1 Corintios 15:3:

3 Primeramente os he enseñado lo que asimismo recibí,...

Primero Pablo recibió el evangelio. Tú no puedes enseñar el evangelio si no lo has recibido.

¿Qué es el evangelio? En los versos 3 y 4, da la definición de la escritura:

3 ...Que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados, conforme a las Escrituras;

4 que fue sepultado y que resucitó al tercer día, conforme a las Escrituras;

La definición simple del evangelio: la muerte, el entierro y la resurrección del Señor Jesucristo.

Trabajando la Salvación

Antes de que continuemos discutiendo la salvación, quiero decirte ahora que Satanás jugará juegos contigo sobre las palabras que leímos en 1 Corintios 15:1-4. No lo dejes. Te hará decir: "Bueno, ¿qué le habrá pasado a mi tatarabuelo?" No hay diferencia, porque tú no puedes salvarlo.

Dios dice en Filipenses 2:12 que debemos trabajar nuestra propia salvación. Deja a todos los demás en paz. Si quieres saber algo, pregúntale a Dios. No dejes que el demonio tome la verdad y te golpe en la cabeza con ella. Sólo Dios sabe quién es salvado y quien va a ir al cielo. Tú no puedes saber quien es salvado a menos que Dios te diga.

The Death, Burial, and Resurrection The Meaning of Salvation You are saved. What does that mean? The word “saved” means to be made sound, or set at safety. You must keep in memory, or hold fast to, the gospel that was preached. If you hold fast to the truth of the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, you are saved! It is that simple.

I have met Christians who have told me, “I have been under such an attack that I doubt I am saved.” Do you want to know why they question their salvation? They doubt because they know nothing about the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Spirit of God spoke to me and said, “I did not commission my people to go and preach ‘get saved’. I told my people to go and preach the gospel to every creature.”

“Preach the gospel” is the commission. Read it for yourself in Mark 16:15. The scripture does not say, “Go, get people saved.” It says, “Preach the gospel.” Why? Because you are saved if you hold fast to.

If you hold fast to “getting saved,” you probably are not. I know this will shake a lot of false foundations in the world. However, I Corinthians 15:2 is so clear that anyone can read it and tell that you have to hold fast to the gospel that was preached. The death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Do Not Believe in Vain

Now, finish I Corinthians 15:2: ...what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. You can believe in vain. If you do not hold fast to the gospel —the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ —you have believed in vain.

This is not “once saved, always saved”. If you do not continue to believe, you have believed in vain. Paul Received the Gospel

Continue with I Corinthians 15:3: For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,... Paul received the gospel first. You cannot deliver the gospel if you have not received it. What is the gospel? Verses 3 and 4 give the scriptural definition: ...that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures (v.3); And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures (v.4). This is the gospel simply defined: the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Working out Salvation Before we discuss salvation any further, I want to tell you now that Satan will play games with you over the words we read in I Corinthians 15:1-4. Do not let him. He will make you say, “Well, I wonder what happened to my great, great-grandfather?” It does not make any difference, because you cannot save him. God says in Philippians 2:12 that we should work out our own salvation. Leave everyone else alone. If you want to know something, ask God. Do not let the devil take the truth and beat you over the head with it. Only God knows who is saved and who is going to heaven. You cannot know who is saved unless God tells you.

Hold Fast to the Gospel Let us examine “salvation” further. Ephesians 1:13 tells us that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is the seal of your salvation. You cannot be baptized in the Holy Spirit without having first believed the gospel. However, do not think that it is enough simply to believe on Jesus one time. If you do not hold fast to the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, you can lose the salvation that you had. That fact is right here in the scriptures. I am simply telling you what is in the Word. Read I Corinthians 15:1-4 thoroughly for yourself. I know how religious people will react. They will say, “Well now, brother, that does not say that.” Yes, I have heard their stories, and I do not want to listen to them again.

Believe and obey I Corinthians 15:1-4. Stand fast in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Isus a înlăturat vrăjmășia în trupul Lui, până și legea poruncilor. De ce? Pentru a putea face un om nou--și acel om nou este trupul Lui Hristos.

Galateni 4:4-5 spune:

Dar când a venit împlinirea vremii, Dumnezeu a trimis pe Fiul Său, născut din femeie, născut sub Lege (v. 4),

Ca să răscumpere pe cei ce erau sub Lege, pentru ca să căpătăm înfierea (v. 5).

Dumnezeu a trimis pe Fiul Său pentru a-i răscumpăra pe aceia care se aflau sub lege, pentru a putea apoi să fie înfiați. Isus ne-a răscumpărat--ne-a eliberat--de puterile întunericului prin credința în sângele Lui.

Legea Poruncilor

Uitați-vă din nou la Efeseni 2:15. Pavel ne spune că Isus:

Și, în trupul Lui, a înlăturat vrăjmășia dintre ei, până și Legea poruncilor, în orânduirile ei, ca să facă pe cei doi să fie în El însuși un singur om nou, făcând astfel pace.

“Și, în trupul Lui, a înlăturat vrăjmășia dintre ei...” Vrăjmășia este, de fapt, legea. Legea este dușmanul nostru. Ea vă face să păcătuiți.

“până și Legea poruncilor, în orânduirile ei...” Vedeți asta? Legea poruncilor sunt Cele Zece Porunci. Dumnezeu a înlăturat legea, care include și Cele Zece Porunci.

Oamenii religioși vă vor spune că numai legea ceremonială a fost înlăturată. Predicatorii vor spune: “Oh, numai legea ceremonială, nu Cele Zece Porunci.”

Vă voi arăta din Biblie că Cele Zece Porunci au fost înlăturate. Până când nu veți crede asta, nu veți merge niciodată în credință. Veți merge mereu în lege--prin “nu pot să fac asta; nu voi face asta; dacă fac asta, Dumnezeu mă va respinge”.

Scrisul Cu Mâna Al Poruncilor

Mergeți la Coloseni 2:10-14. Pavel scrie:

Voi aveți totul deplin în El, care este Capul oricărei domnii și stăpâniri (v. 10):

În El ați fost tăiați împrejur nu cu o tăiere împrejur făcută de mână, ci cu tăierea împrejur a lui Hristos, în dezbrăcarea de trupul poftelor firii noastre pământești (v. 11):

Tăierea împrejur a lui Hristos este o nouă naștere. Atunci când Îl primiți pe Hristos, sunteți tăiați împrejur printr-o tăiere împrejur care nu e făcută de mână.

Fiind îngropați împreună cu El prin botez și înviați în El și împreună cu El prin credința în puterea lui Dumnezeu, care L-a înviat din morți (v. 12).

Pe voi, care erați morți în greșelile voastre și în firea voastră pământească netăiată împrejur, Dumnezeu v-a însuflețit împreuna cu El, după ce ne-a iertat toate greșelile (v. 13);

Cuvântul “însuflețit” înseamnă adus la viață. Atunci când Dumnezeu L-a înviat din morți pe Isus, ne-a înviat și pe noi cu El. El ne-a însuflețit.

A ștere zapisul cu poruncile lui, care stătea împotriva noastră și ne era potrivnic, și l-a nimicit pironindu-l pe cruce (v. 14);

“Zapisul cu poruncile lui” nu poate fi altceva decât Cele Zece Porunci. Acestea sunt singurele reguli pe care știu că le-a scris Dumnezeu. Puteți să vă certați toată ziua dacă vreți, dar Dumnezeu a scris Cele Zece Porunci--de două ori. Singurul loc în Biblie în care pot găsi că Dumnezeu a scris ceva este în cartea lui Daniel, atunci când o mână a apărut în fața Regelui Belșațar și a început să scrie pe perete.

Pavel vorbește despre Cele Zece Porunci. Isus a șters zapisul cu poruncile--Cele Zece Porunci--care erau potrivnice nouă și le-a abolit. Cele Zece Porunci ne sunt potrivnice. Ele ne fac să păcătuim.

Romani 3:20 spune: “prin Lege vine cunoștința deplină a păcatului.” Cu cât încerci mai mult să asculți legea, cu atât mai mult vei păcătui. Exact asta ne învață Biblia. Și totuși, bisericile noastre ne învață despre legi în fiecare duminică.

Să nu mă înțelegeți greșit. Dumnezeu a pus Cele Zece Porunci pe pământ. Ele sunt niște porunci sfinte. Ele sunt Cuvântul Domnului. Conform Galateni 3:19, Dumnezeu le-a adăugat--El a adăugat întreaga lege, din cauza fărădelegilor, până când a venit Isus.

Legea este învățătorul nostru. Este managerul nostru. Este tutorul nostru. Dar după ce venim la Hristos nu mai suntem învățăceii niciunui învățător, niciunul manager, niciunul tutor--nu mai suntem sub lege. Și aici se includ și Cele Zece Porunci.

Tablele Mărturiei

Mi-a trebuit mult timp, mult studiu, multă rugăciune, multă bunăvoință și multă milă ca să găsesc aceste versete. Dumnezeu m-a îndrumat meticulos și m-a instruit și mi-a revelat aceste cunoștințe și mi-a dat credință și curaj ca să predic toate acestea. Ceea ce predic eu este atât de clar, încât nu poate să nu fie înțeles.

Exod 31:18 spune:

Când a isprăvit Domnul de vorbit cu Moise pe muntele Sinai, i-a dat cele două table ale mărturiei, table de piatră, scrise cu degetul Lui Dumnezeu.

“Scrise”, vedeți asta? Dumnezeu i-a dat lui Moise două table ale mărturiei--și aici se referă la cuvinte sau la porunci--scrise cu degetul Lui Dumnezeu.

Uitați-vă acum la Exod 34:1:

Domnul a zis lui Moise: Taie două table de piatră ca cele dintâi și Eu voi scrie pe ele cuvintele care erau pe tablele dintâi, pe care le-ai sfărâmat.

Dumnezeu a scris pe tablele de piatră cuvintele care erau pe tablele dintâi.

Mergeți Exod 34:28:

Moise a stat acolo cu Domnul patruzeci de zile și patruzeci de nopți. N-a mâncat deloc pâine și n-a băut deloc apă. Și Domnul a scris pe table cuvintele legământului, Cele Zece Porunci.

Asta m-a convins pe mine. Vechiul legământ include Cele Zece Porunci. Spune exact așa aici, “cuvintele legământului, Cele Zece Porunci”.

Dumnezeu a scris pe acele table cuvintele legământului, Cele Zece Porunci. Acesta este scrisul de mână împotriva voastră, potrivnic vouă. Dumnezeu le-a luat din cale și le-a nimicit pironindu-le pe crucea Domnului Isis Hristos.

Nu-i așa că astea sunt vești bune? Ei bine, ar trebui să fie dacă nu sunt deja! Eu apreciez tot ce poate lua Dumnezeu din calea mea și îmi este potrivnic.

He Abolished The Law, by Doyle Davidson, Chapter 7 Part 1

God forgave our sins, but the law causes us to remember sin. The second thing Jesus did to reconcile man to God was abolish the law.

The word “abolish” means to make a thoroughly inactive. As long as the law has any activity in your heart--and the heart is where the law works, you are subject to committing sin. Where the law is active, sin will abound.

Romans 3:20 says, “...for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” God had to abolish the law--take it our of our hearts and make it thoroughly inactive.

Look at Ephesians 2:15:

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

Jesus abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments. Why? So that He could make a new man--and that new man is the body of Christ.

Galatians 4:4-5 says:

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law (v. 4),

To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons (v. 5).

God send forth His Son to redeem them that were under the law that we might receive the adoption of sons. Jesus redeemed us--loosed us away--from the powers of darkness through faith in His blood.

The Law of Commandments

Look at Ephesians 2:15 again. Paul tells us that Jesus:

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace.

“Having abolished in his flesh the enmity...” The enmity is the law. The law is your enemy. It makes you sin.

“Even the law of commandments...” Do you see that? The law of commandments is the Ten Commandments. God has abolished the law, which includes the Ten Commandments.

Religious people will tell you that only the ceremonial law has been abolished. Preachers will say, “Oh, only the ceremonial law, not the Ten Commandments.”

I am going to show you out of the Bible that the Ten Commandments have been abolished. Until you believe that, you will never walk by faith. You will always be walking by the law--by, “I cannot do this; thou shalt not do that; if I do this, God will reject me.”

The Handwriting of Ordinances

Turn to Colossians 2:10-14. Paul writes:

And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power (v. 10):

In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ (v. 11):

The circumcision of Christ is the new birth. When you receive Christ, you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands.

Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead (v. 12).

And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses (v. 13);

The word “quickened” means made alive. When God raised Jesus from the dead, He made us alive in Him. He quickened us.

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross (v. 14);

The “handwriting of ordinances” cannot be anything but the Ten Commandments. Those are the only ordinances that I know were written by God. You can argue all day, if you want to, but God wrote the Ten Commandments--twice. The only other place in the Bible where I can find that God wrote anything is in the book of Daniel, where a hand came forth before King Belshazzar and started writing on the wall.

Paul is talking about the Ten Commandments. Jesus blotted out the handwriting of ordinances--the Ten Commandments--that was contrary to us, and took it out of the way. The Ten Commandments are contrary to us. They make us sin.

Romans 3:20 says, “for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” The more you try to obey the law, the more you will sin. That is exactly what the Bible teaches us. Yet, our churches teach us the law every Sunday.

Do not misunderstand me. God put the Ten Commandments in the earth. They are holy commandments. They are the Word of God. According to Galatians 3:19, God added them--He added the entire law, because of transgressions, until Jesus came.

The law is our school master. It is our manager. It is our tutor. But after we come to Christ, we are no longer under a schoolmaster, under a manager, under a tutor--under the law. That includes the Ten Commandments.

Tables of Testimony

It took me a long time, a lot of studying, a lot of prayer, a lot of grace, and a lot of mercy to find these verses. God led me meticulously and instructed me and revealed this to me and gave me faith and boldness to teach this. What I am teaching is so clear you cannot misunderstand it.

Exodus 31:18: says:

And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

“Written,” do you see that? God gave Moses two tables of testimony--that is, words or commandments--written with the finger of God.

Now, look at Exodus 34:1:

And the Lord said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

God wrote upon the tables of stone the words that were in the first tables

Turn to Exodus 34:28:

And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

That convinced me. The old covenant includes the Ten Commandments. It says so right here: “The words of the covenant, the ten commandments.”

God wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments. That is the handwriting that is against you, that is contrary to you. God took it out of the way, and He nailed it to the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Isn’t that good news? Well, it should be, if it isn’t already! Anything God can take out of the way this is contrary to me, I appreciate.
