Exhortation

Acts 24:
16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
Awhile back I was struggling to not be offended in a particular situation and I thought to myself, "How could you do me this way?" Immediately I heard, "They hung Jesus on the cross, and he hadn't done anything wrong, he was without sin and He said,
""Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
He is our example - we are to be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving our ownselves. Needless to say, I stopped murmuring and began to "exercise my conscience to not be offended." You know how you do that? Set our heart on the gospel, believe, give thanks and bless those that curse us and praying for those that despitefully use us."
Every day there are opportunities presented to check my heart out  . Thank God for grace and mercy as my faith and love is being perfected.
God bless!
