Planul De Împăcare, Capitolul 5

Dumnezeu a avut un plan de împăcare cu omul încă de la crearea lumii. Planul Său includea căderea lui Adam și moartea, îngroparea și învierea Lui Isus. Mergeți acum la Efeseni, capitolul 2, pentru a vedea planul Lui Dumnezeu de împăcare și cum este acesta revelat apostolului Pavel.

Efeseni 2:10 începe:

Căci noi suntem lucrarea Lui și am fost zidiți în Hristos Isus pentru faptele bune pe care le-a pregătit Dumnezeu mai dinainte ca să umblăm în ele (v. 10).

De aceea, voi, care altădată erați neamuri din naștere, numiți netăiați împrejur de către aceia care se cheamă tăiați împrejur și care sunt tăiați împrejur în trup de mâna omului (v. 11);

Aduceți-vă aminte că în vremea aceea erați fără Hristos, fără drept de cetățenie în Israel, străini de legămintele făgăduinței, fără nădejde și fără Dumnezeu în lume (v. 12):

Vedeți asta? Atunci când eram neamuri din naștere, în acel moment eram fără Hristos, eram străini de cetățenia din Israel--străini de legămintele făgăduinței, fără nădejde și fără Dumnezeu în lume.

Fără Hristos, voi și eu nu avem nicio speranță. Suntem străini de legămintele făgăduinței. Uitați-vă, totuși, la Efeseni 2:13:

Dar acum, în Hristos Isus, voi, care odinioară erați depărtați, ați fost apropiați prin sângele lui Hristos.

Dumnezeu ne-a adus aproape, prin Hristos Isus, prin sângele Domnului Isus. Noi suntem aduși aproape din El prin sânge.

Efeseni 2:14-18 continuă:

Căci El este pacea noastră, care din doi a făcut unul și a surpat zidul de la mijloc care-i despărțea (v. 14);

Și, în trupul Lui, a înlăturat vrăjmășia dintre ei, Legea poruncilor, în orânduirile ei, ca să facă pe cei doi să fie în El însuși un singur om nou, făcând astfel pace (v. 15);

Și a împăcat pe cei doi cu Dumnezeu într-un singur trup, prin cruce, prin care a nimicit vrăjmășia (v. 16):

Și a venit astfel să aducă vestea bună a păcii vouă, celor ce erați departe, și pace celor ce erau aproape un Duh (v. 18).

În versetul 18, “și unii, și alții” se referă și la evrei și la neamuri. Amândoi avem acces spre Dumnezeu prin Domnul Isus și Duhul Sfânt.

Aceste versete ne duc de la a fi evrei și neamuri la afi apropiați de Tată prin sângele Lui Isus. Isus i-a făcut și pe evrei și pe ne-evrei să fie un trup, acel trup fiind Hristos. El a desființat legea, l-a răstignit pe omul vechi și ne-a predicat pacea. Prin acești pași, noi suntem împăcați cu Dumnezeu și această împăcare ne oferă acces spre Tată printr-un singur Duh.

The Plan of Reconciliation, by Doyle Davidson, Chapter 5

God had a plan to reconcile man from the foundation of the world. His plan included the fall of Adam and the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Now, turn to Ephesians chapter 2 to see God’s plan of reconciliation as it was revealed to the apostle Paul.

Ephesians 2:10 begins:

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we would walk in them (v. 10).

Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands (v. 11);

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world (v. 12):

Do you see that? When we were Gentiles in the flesh, at that time, we were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel--strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.

Without Christ, you and I have no hope. We are strangers from the covenants of promise. Look at Ephesians 2:13, however:

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were afar off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

God has brought us, in Christ Jesus, nigh by the blood of the Lord Jesus. We are brought nigh unto Him by the blood.

Ephesians 2:14-18 continues:

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us (v. 14);

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace (v. 15);

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby (v. 16):

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh (v. 17).

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father (v. 18).

In verse 18, “both” refers to Jew and Gentile. We both have access to the Father through the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

These verses take us from being Jews and Gentiles to being brought nigh to the Father by the blood of Jesus. Jesus made Jew and Gentile one body, that being Christ. He abolished the law, crucified the old man, and preached peace to us. With these steps, we were reconciled to God, and that reconciliation gives us access to the Father by one Spirit.
