A Făcut IudeII Și Neamurile Un Singur Trup, Capitolul 9
Al patrulea lucru pe care l-a făcut Dumnezeu a fost să facă iudeii și neamurile un singur trup--trupul Lui Hristos. Isus a desființat împărțirea oamenilor în iudei și neamuri.
Nu a desființat împărțirea oamenilor în albi și negri. Dumnezeu nu a văzut niciodată un om ca fiind alb sau negru. El a văzut rasa umană ca fiind formată din iudei și neamuri.
Isus A Făcut Un Om Nou
Efeseni 2:14-16 spune:
Căci El este pacea noastră, care din doi a făcut unul și a surpat zidul de la mijloc care-i despărțea (v. 14);
Și, în trupul Lui, a înlăturat vrăjmășia dintre ei, Legea poruncilor, în orânduirile ei, ca să facă pe cei doi să fie în El însuși un singur om nou, făcând astfel pace (v. 15);
Și a împăcat pe cei doi cu Dumnezeu într-un singur trup, prin cruce, prin care a nimicit vrăjmășia (v. 16):
Vedeți asta? Isus a surpat zidul de mijloc care despărțea, “ca să facă pe cei doi să fie în El însuși un singur om nou, făcând astfel pace; și a împăcat pe cei doi [iudei și neamuri] cu Dumnezeu într-un singur trup, prin cruce” --adică prin moartea, îngroparea și învierea Domnului Isus.
Iudeu Este Acela Care Este Iudeu Înăuntru
Dumnezeu nu mai consideră iudeii în carne ca fiind iudei. În Romani 2:28-29, Pavel spune:
Iudeu nu este acela care se arată pe dinafară că este iudeu, și tăiere împrejur nu este aceea care este pe dinafară, în carne (v. 28):
Ci iudeu este acela care este iudeu înăuntru, și tăiere împrejur este aceea a inimii, în duh, nu în slovă; un astfel de iudeu își scoate lauda nu de la oameni, ci de la Dumnezeu (v. 29).
Isus nu consideră iudeii în carne ca fiind iudei. Un iudeu este cineva care L-a primit pe Hristos Isus. El este iudeu înăuntru.
De ce a făcut Dumnezeu asta? Pentru a face un singur trup--trupul Lui Hristos. Noi suntem iudei numai înăuntru, dar trupul este al Lui Hristos. Un cap--Isus, și un trup--acesta fiind Hristos.
Consideră-ți Carnea Doar Un Gunoi
Trupul Lui Hristos nu include iudeii în carne sau păgânii în carne. În Filipeni 3:8, Pavel spune:
Mai mult decât atât, le consider pe toate o pierdere față de valoarea deosebită a cunoașterii lui Hristos Isus, Domnul meu, datorită Căruia am suferit pierderea tuturor lucrurilor și datorită Caruia le consider gunoaie, pentru a-L câștiga pe Hristos.
Pavel a considerat toate lucrurile gunoaie pentru a-L putea cunoaște pe Hristos. Toate lucrurile au inclus moștenirea lui iudee--carnea lui iudee. În Filipeni 3:4-6, el spune:
Deși eu aș avea motive să mă laud cu lucrurile pământești. Dacă cineva crede că are motive să se încreadă în lucrurile pământești, eu și mai mult (v. 4):
Circumcis în a opta zi, din neamul lui Israel, din seminția lui Beniamin, evreu din evrei, în ce privește Legea-fariseu (v. 5).
În ce privește râvna - persecutor al bisericii, în ce privește dreptatea care se bazează pe Lege - fără vină (v. 6).
Pavel putea mai mult decât orice om să se încreadă în carnea lui. Ce spune, totuși, în versetul 7?
Însă toate lucrurile care pentru mine erau un câștig le consider ca o pierdere, de dragul lui Hristos.
Pavel știa că nu mai există evrei și neamri. Există un singur trup--trupul Lui Hristos.
Umblați În Noutatea Vieții
Uitați-vă la Romani 6:4-5:
Noi deci am fost îngropați împreună cu El prin botezul în moarte, pentru ca așa cum Hristos a fost înviat din morți prin slava Tatălui, la fel să putem și noi să umblăm în noutatea vieții (v. 4).
Omul vechi a fost îngropat cu Isus prin botez și acesta este mort, pentru ca noi să putem umbla în noutatea vieții. Noi umblăm prin noutatea vieții ca și trupul Lui Hristos.
Căci dacă am devenit uniți cu El printr-o moarte asemănătoare cu a Lui, vom fi uniți cu El și printr-o înviere asemănătoare cu a Lui (v. 5):
“Vom fi uniți cu El și printr-o înviere asemănătoare cu a Lui.” Corpul vechi iudeu sau corpul vechi păgân nu pot să fie într-o înviere asemănătoare cu a Lui. Numai trupul Lui Hristos poate să fie într-o înviere asemănătoare cu a Lui.
Manifestată Prin Trupul Nostru
În final, mergeți la II Corinteni 4:10-11:
Purtăm întotdeauna cu noi, în trupul nostru, omorârea Domnului Isus, pentru ca și viața lui Isus să se arate în trupul nostru (v. 10).
Căci noi ce vii totdeauna suntem dați la moarte din pricina lui Isus, pentru ca și viața lui Isus să se arate în trupul nostru muritor (v. 11).
Viața Lui Isus trebuie să se arate în corpurile noastre--în carnea noastră muritoare. Viața Lui Isus nu poate să se arate în trupurile noastre iude sau păgâne. Viață Lui Isus poate să se manifest numai după ce El a înlăturat vrăjmășia și ne-a făcut un singur trup--trupul Lui Hristos.
He Made Jew And Gentile One Body, by Doyle Davidson, Chapter 9
The fourth thing God did was to make Jew and Gentile one body--the body of Christ. Jesus tore down the partition between Jew and Gentile.
He did not tear down partitions between blacks and whites. God never saw man as black or white. He saw the human race as Jew and Gentile.
Jesus Made One New Man
Ephesians 2:14-16 says:
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us (v. 14);
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace (v. 15);
And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby (v. 16):
Can you see that? Jesus broke down the middle wall of partition, “to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; and that he might reconcile both [Jew and Gentile] unto God in one body by the cross” --that is, the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
He is a Jew, Which is One Inwardly
God no longer considers Jews in the flesh to be Jews. In Romans 2:28-29, Paul says:
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh (v. 28):
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God (v. 29).
Jesus does not consider Jews in the flesh as Jews. A Jew is someone who has received Christ Jesus. He is a Jew inwardly.
Why did God do that? So He could make one body--the body of Christ. We are only Jews inwardly, but the body is Christ. One head--Jesus, and one body--that being Christ.
Count Your Flesh But Dung
The body of Christ does not include Jews in the flesh or Gentiles in the flesh. In Philippians 3:8, Paul says:
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
Paul counted all things but dung that he might win Christ. All things included his Jewish heritage--his Jewish flesh. In Philippians 3:4-6, he says:
Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more (v. 4):
Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee (v. 5);
Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless (v. 6).
Paul had more right to trust in his flesh than any other man. What does he say in verse 7, however?
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
Paul knew there is no more Jew, and there is no more Gentile. There is only one body--the body of Christ.
Walk in Newness of Life
Look at Romans 6:4-5:
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (v. 4).
Our old man was buried with Jesus by baptism, and it is dead, so that we can walk in newness of life. We walk in newness of life as the body of Christ.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection (v. 5):
“We shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.” Our old Jewish body or old Gentile body cannot be in the likeness of His resurrection. Only the body of Christ can be in the likeness of His resurrection.
Manifest in Our Body
Finally, turn to II Corinthians 4:10-11:
Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body (v. 10).
For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might me made manifest in our mortal flesh (v. 11).
The life of Jesus is to be made manifest in our bodies--in our mortal flesh. The life of Jesus cannot be made manifest in our Jewish bodies or our Gentile bodies. The life of Jesus can only be made manifest when He has broken down the middle wall of partition and made us one body--the body of Christ.
