JESÚS HIZO LA VOLUNDAD DEL PADRE, Capítulo 3.3
Al Señor Tú Dios Adorarás
Mira la respuesta de Jesús en Lucas 4:8:
8 Respondiendo Jesús, le dijo:…
Otra vez, Jesús no simplemente citó Deuteronomio 6:13. En Juan 6:63, Jesús dijo: "Las palabras que yo os he hablado son espíritu y son vida". El Espíritu Santo le dio a Jesús las palabras para hablar:
—Vete de mí, Satanás, porque escrito está: “Al Señor tu Dios adorarás y sólo a él servirás.”
Satanás dijo: "Tú estás cansado, tú tienes hambre, tú has estado aquí por 40 días;ahora yo te honoraré a ti y no vas a tener que pasar por esto por más tiempo". Yo no sé, si esto fue lo que exactamente dijo, pero bien pudo haberlo dicho.
Cada ministerio será traído cara a cara con esta situación. Tú serás tentado para abusar de la autoridad y tú tendrás el ofrecimiento de Satanás, honorarte. Todo lo que tienes que hacer es comprometer el evangelio y arrodillarte a organizaciones religiosas (espíritus religiosos) y Satanás te tiene. Él te honorará, también. Eso es lo que ha pasado en América. Eso es lo que ha pasado en todo el mundo.
Las personas religiosas me dijeron que sin el apoyo de los hombres, No podría ir a ninguna parte. Dios me dijo que si dependo del apoyo de los hombres, yo no iría a ninguna parte. Así que dije: "Amen, Jesús vamos hacia adelante".
No Tentarás al Señor tu Dios
La tercera tentación que leemos está en Lucas 4:9:
9 Entonces lo llevó a Jerusalén, lo puso sobre el pináculo del Templo y le dijo:
—Si eres Hijo de Dios, tírate de aquí abajo,
10 pues escrito está: “A sus ángeles mandará acerca de ti, que te guarden”,
11 y “En las manos te sostendrán, para que no tropieces con tu pie en piedra.”
12 Respondiendo Jesús, le dijo:—Dicho está: “No tentarás al Señor tu Dios.”
13 Cuando acabó toda tentación el diablo, se apartó de él por un tiempo.
En otras palabras, Satanás le estaba diciendo a Jesús: "Bien, tú me has estado citando las escrituras, ahora voy a citarte algunas. Tírate, porque está escrito que Dios a sus ángeles mandará acerca de ti, que te guarden. Yo citaré la Palabra al igual que tú".
¿Qué fue lo que Satanás hizo? Él tomó la escritura fuera de contexto; él la arrebató, la torció y así es el camino del diablo. No importa quién eres; si tú tuerces las escrituras, Satanás está hablando por tu boca.
Jesús contestó. “…No tentarás al Señor tu Dios". Torcer escritura, sacarla del contexto y usarla incorrectamente, es tentar a Dios.
Jesús era un hombre como tú y yo. Si Él no lo hubiera sido, Él no habría sido tentado. La palabra de Dios dice él fue tentado por el diablo. Sabes, tú no puedes tentarme con el salto del Bunge…¡nunca! Pero Jesús fue tentado…¡y él venció!
Lleno del Espíritu Santo
Ahora, quiero enseñarte que durante en el tiempo que Jesús estuvo en el desierto, desde el tiempo en Lucas 4:1 en el que Él fue guidado por el Espíritu hasta el tiempo en Lucas 4:14 en el que Él regresó a Galilea, un cambio ocurrió en el alma y el cuerpo de Jesús.
En Lucas 4:1, nos dice que Jesús estaba "lleno del Espíritu Santo". En el verso 14, Él regresó, " en el poder del Espíritu". Durante esos 40 días, Él ayunó, oró y citó la Palabra de Dios a Satanás.
Tú no puedes convencerme, que las únicas veces que Jesús citó la Palabra al diablo son las tres veces que acabamos de leer. Él había estado resistiéndolo con Su fe, todos los 40 días. Eso es lo que lo impidió caer en la tentación. ¿Qué fue lo que Jesús dijo a los discípulos en el jardín de Getsemaní? "Ora…" ¿Por qué? "…Para que tú no entres en tentación".

Worship the Lord thy God
Look at Jesus' answer, in Luke 4:8:
And Jesus answered and said unto him,...
Again, Jesus did not simply quote Deuteronomy 6:13. In John 6:63, Jesus said, "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." The Holy Spirit gave Jesus the words to speak:
...Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (v. 8).
Satan said, "You are tired, you are hungry, you have been out here 40 days; now I will honor you and you will not have to go through this any longer." I do not know that he said exactly that, but he might as well have.
Every minister will be brought face to face with this situation. You will be tempted to misuse authority, and you will have Satan offer to honor you. All you will have to do is compromise the gospel and bow down to religious organizations--to religious spirits, and Satan has you. He will honor you, too. That is what has happened in America. That is what has happened all over the world.
Religious people told me that without men's support, I could go nowhere. God told me that if I relied on the support of men, I would not go anywhere. So I said, "Amen, Jesus, let's go forward."
Thou Shalt Not Tempt the Lord
The third temptation we read about is in Luke 4:9:
And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence (v. 9):
For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee (v. 10):
And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone (v. 11).
And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God (v.12).
And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season (v.13).
In other words, Satan was telling Jesus, "Well, you have been quoting scripture to me, now I am going to quote some to you. Jump off, because it is written that God has given His angels charge over you to bear you up. I will quote the Word just as you have."
What did Satan do? He took the scripture out of context; he wrested it and twisted it, and that is the devil's way. It does not matter who you are; if you twist scripture, Satan is speaking from your mouth.
Jesus answered, "...Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." To twist scripture, to take it out of context and misapply it, tempts God.
Jesus was a man like you and I. If he wasn't he would not have been able to be tempted. The word of God states he was tempted of the devil. You know, you can’t tempt me with bungee jumping….not ever! But Jesus was tempted…and he overcame!
Full of the Holy Ghost
Now, I want to show you that during the time Jesus was in the wilderness--from the time in Luke 4:1 that He was led by the Spirit until the time in Luke 4:14 that He returned into Galilee, a change occurred in Jesus' soul and body.
In Luke 4:1, we are told that Jesus was "full of the Holy Ghost." In verse 14, He returned, "in the power of the Spirit." During those 40 days, He fasted, prayed, and quoted the Word of God to Satan.
You cannot convince me that the only times Jesus quoted the Word to the devil are the three times we just read. He had been resisting him with His faith the entire 40 days. That is how He kept from falling into temptation. What did Jesus say to the disciples in the garden of Gethsemane? "Pray..." Why? "...That you enter not into temptation."
