4. BOTEZUL CU DUHUL SFÂNT
Botezul cu Duhul sau Spiritul Sfânt a început în ziua Cincizeci mii. El a fost promis de profetul Ioel în Ioel 2. Acesta este un dar de la Dumnezeu așa cum a fost promis de Domnul Isus Hristos celor care sunt credincioși. El este primit după noua naștere. Poate fi primit prin așezarea mâinilor sau fără. Acest botez este o umplere și este dovedit prin vorbirea în alte limbi, după cum vorbește Duhul Sfânt. Botezul vine odată cu credința în Evanghelie și în ascultarea de Dumnezeu. Putem cere Duhul Sfânt Tatălui sau lui Isus.
Când Duhul Sfânt intră în noi, El nu face decât să vorbească sau să mărturisească despre Isus și Isus este proslăvit, căci El va lua din ce este al lui Isus și ne va descoperi. El nu vorbește de la El, ci va vorbi tot ce va fi auzit; și vă va descoperi lucrurile viitoare. Nu ne rugăm la Duhul Sfânt, ne rugăm la Tatăl în numele lui Isus.
Duhul Sfânt mângâie, zidește, învață, arată drumul, călăuzește, ne dă putere să fim martori și dovedește vinovăția. Există nouă daruri ale Duhului Sfânt care se pot arăta în toți.
a. RUSALIILE, REVĂRSAREA DUHULUI SFÂNT
Faptele apostolilor 2
1 În ziua Cincizecimii, erau toţi împreună în acelaş loc.
2 Deodată a venit din cer un sunet ca vîjîitul unui vînt puternic, şi a umplut toată casa unde şedeau ei.
3 Nişte limbi ca de foc au fost văzute împărţindu-se printre ei, şi s'au aşezat cîte una pe fiecare din ei.
4 Şi toţi s'au umplut de Duh Sfînt, şi au început să vorbească în alte limbi, după cum le da Duhul să vorbească.
14 Atunci Petru s'a sculat în picioare cu cei unsprezece, a ridicat glasul, şi le -a zis: ,,Bărbaţi Iudei şi voi toţi cei cari locuiţi în Ierusalim, să ştiţi lucrul acesta, şi ascultaţi cuvintele mele!
15 Oamenii aceştia nu sînt beţi, cum vă închipuiţi voi, căci nu este decît al treilea ceas din zi.
16 Ci aceasta este ce a fost spus prin proorocul Ioel:
17 ,,În zilele de pe urmă, zice Dumnezeu, voi turna din Duhul Meu peste orice făptură; feciorii voştri şi fetele voastre vor prooroci, tinerii voştri vor avea vedenii, şi bătrînii voştri vor visa visuri!
18 Da, chiar şi peste robii Mei şi peste roabele Mele voi turna, în zilele acelea, din Duhul Meu, şi vor prooroci.
Ioel 2
28 După aceea, voi turna Duhul Meu peste orice făptură; fiii şi fiicele voastre vor prooroci, bătrînii voştri vor visa visuri, şi tinerii voştri vor avea vedenii.
29 Chiar şi peste robi şi peste roabe, voi turna Duhul Meu, în zilele acelea.
b. EL ESTE UN DAR DE LA DUMNEZEU
Faptele apostolilor 2
38 ,,Pocăiţi-vă``, le -a zis Petru, ,,şi fiecare din voi să fie botezat în Numele lui Isus Hristos, spre iertarea păcatelor voastre; apoi veţi primi darul Sfîntului Duh.
39 Căci făgăduinţa aceasta este pentru voi, pentru copiii voştri, şi pentru toţi cei ce sînt departe acum, în oricît de mare număr îi va chema Domnul, Dumnezeul nostru.``
Faptele apostolilor 8
18 Cînd a văzut Simon că Duhul Sfînt era dat prin punerea mînilor apostolilor, le -a dat bani,
19 şi a zis: ,,Daţi-mi şi mie puterea aceasta, pentruca peste oricine-mi voi pune mînile, să primească Duhul Sfînt.``
20 Dar Petru i -a zis: ,,Banii tăi să piară împreună cu tine, pentrucă ai crezut că darul lui Dumnezeu s'ar putea căpăta cu bani!
Ioan 4
9 Femeia Samariteancă I -a zis: ,,Cum Tu, Iudeu, ceri să bei dela mine, femeie Samariteancă?`` -Iudeii, în adevăr, n'au legături cu Samaritenii.
10-Drept răspuns, Isus i -a zis: ,,Dacă ai fi cunoscut tu darul lui Dumnezeu, şi Cine este Cel ce-ţi zice: ,Dă-Mi să beau!` tu singură ai fi cerut să bei, şi El ţi-ar fi dat apă vie.``
Faptele apostolilor 10
44 Pe cînd rostea Petru cuvintele acestea, S'a pogorît Duhul Sfînt peste toţi cei ce ascultau Cuvîntul.
45 Toţi credincioşii tăiaţi împrejur, cari veniseră cu Petru, au rămas uimiţi cînd au văzut că darul Duhului Sfînt s'a vărsat şi peste Neamuri.
46 Căci îi auzeau vorbind în limbi şi mărind pe Dumnezeu. Atunci Petru a zis:
47 ,,Se poate opri apa ca să nu fie botezaţi aceştia, cari au primit Duhul Sfînt ca şi noi?``
c. BOTEZUL ESTE EXPERIENȚA SECUNDARĂ PENTRU A FI SALVAT, NĂSCUT DIN NOU SAU PRIMIREA LUI HRISTOS
Romani 8
9 Voi însă nu mai sînteţi pămînteşti, ci duhovniceşti, dacă Duhul lui Dumnezeu locuieşte în adevăr în voi. Dacă n'are cineva Duhul lui Hristos, nu este al Lui.
10 Şi dacă Hristos este în voi, trupul vostru, da, este supus morţii, din pricina păcatului; dar duhul vostru este viu, din pricina neprihănirii.
11 Şi dacă Duhul Celui ce a înviat pe Isus dintre cei morţi locuieşte în voi, Cel ce a înviat pe Hristos Isus din morţi, va învia şi trupurile voastre muritoare, din pricina Duhului Său, care locuieşte în voi.

1 Pe cînd era Apolo în Corint, Pavel, dupăce a trecut prin ţinuturile de sus ale Asiei, a ajuns la Efes. Aici a întîlnit pe cîţiva ucenici,
2 şi le -a zis: ,,Aţi primit voi Duhul Sfînt cînd aţi crezut?`` Ei i-au răspuns: ,,Nici n'am auzit măcar că a fost dat un Duh Sfînt.``
3 Dar cu ce botez aţi fost botezaţi?`` le -a zis el. Şi ei au răspuns: ,,Cu botezul lui Ioan.``
4 Atunci Pavel a zis: ,,Ioan a botezat cu botezul pocăinţei, şi spunea norodului să creadă în Celce venea după el, adică în Isus.``
5 Cînd au auzit ei aceste vorbe, au fost botezaţi în Numele Domnului Isus.
6 Când și-a pus Pavel mâinile peste ei, Duhul Sfânt S-a coborât peste ei și vorbeau în alte limbi și proroceau.

4. BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST.
The Baptism in the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit began on the day of Pentecost. It was promised by the prophet Joel in Joel 2. It is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to those who are believers. It is received subsequent to the new birth. It may be received by the laying on of hands or not. This baptism is an infilling and evidenced by the speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance. The baptism comes with believing the gospel and in obedience to God. We may ask the Father or Jesus for the Holy Ghost.
When the Holy Ghost comes in, he only speaks or testifies of Jesus and Jesus is glorified, for he shall receive of Jesus and show it unto us. He does not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew things to come. We do not pray to the Holy Spirit, we pray to the Father in Jesus name.
The Holy Ghost comforts, edifies, teaches, leads, guides, empowers us to witness, and reproves. There are nine gifts of the Holy Ghost that may work in all.
a. PENTECOST, THE POURING OUT OF THE HOLY GHOST
Acts 2
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Joel 2
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
b. IT IS A GIFT OF GOD
Acts 2
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Acts 8
18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
John 4
9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
Acts 10
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
c. THE BAPTISM IS SECONDARY EXPERIENCE TO BEING SAVED, BORN AGAIN OR RECEIVING CHRIST
Romans 8
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Ephesians 1
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Acts 19
1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
