VI. TEMELIA: CELE ȘASE PRINCIPII

Dacă Dumnezeu permite acest lucru, pentru a merge spre cele desăvârșite, trebuie să avem mai întâi temelia pusă în inimile noastre.

Primele principii ale oracolelor lui Dumnezeu găsite în Evrei 6 și învățate la Apa vieții încă de la începuturile ei, sunt aceleași învățături aduse de fondatorii insulei Rhodos. Doyle Davidson are ca înaintași pe linie maternă pe opt dintre acești bărbați care au venit în America, căutând libertatea de a se închina lui Dumnezeu și de a asculta de scripturi, așa cum le-au înțeles ei. În urmă cu peste 300 de ani, ei au înființat pentru acest popor prima Biserică bazată pe cele șase principii și un guvern civil separat de Biserică pentru a păstra libertatea religioasă.

Evrei 6

1 De aceea, să lăsăm adevărurile începătoare ale lui Hristos, şi să mergem spre cele desăvîrşite, fără să mai punem din nou temelia pocăinţei de faptele moarte, şi a credinţei în Dumnezeu,

2 învăţătura despre botezuri, despre punerea mînilor, despre învierea morţilor şi despre judecata vecinică.

3 Şi vom face lucrul acesta, dacă va voi Dumnezeu.

1 Corinteni 3

10 După harul lui Dumnezeu, care mi -a fost dat, eu, ca un meşter-zidar înţelept, am pus temelia, şi un altul clădeşte deasupra. Dar fiecare să ia bine seama cum clădeşte deasupra.

11 Căci nimeni nu poate pune o altă temelie decît cea care a fost pusă, şi care este Isus Hristos.

12 Iar dacă clădeşte cineva pe această temelie, aur, argint, pietre scumpe, lemn, fîn, trestie,

13 lucrarea fiecăruia va fi dată pe faţă: ziua Domnului o va face cunoscut, căci se va descoperi în foc. Şi focul va dovedi cum este lucrarea fiecăruia.

14 Dacă lucrarea zidită de cineva pe temelia aceea, rămîne în picioare, el va primi o răsplată.

15 Dacă lucrarea lui va fi arsă, îşi va pierde răsplata. Cît despre el, va fi mîntuit, dar ca prin foc.

Efeseni 2

20 fiind zidiţi pe temelia apostolilor şi proorocilor, piatra din capul unghiului fiind Isus Hristos.

Efeseni 4

11 Şi El a dat pe unii apostoli; pe alţii, prooroci; pe alţii, evanghelişti; pe alţii, păstori şi învăţători,

12 pentru desăvîrşirea sfinţilor, în vederea lucrării de slujire, pentru zidirea trupului lui Hristos,

13 pînă vom ajunge toţi la unirea credinţei şi a cunoştinţei Fiului lui Dumnezeu, la starea de om mare, la înălţimea staturii plinătăţii lui Hristos;

4 Citindu-le, vă puteţi închipui priceperea pe care o am eu despre taina lui Hristos,

5 care n'a fost făcută cunoscut fiilor oamenilor în celelalte veacuri, în felul cum a fost descoperită acum sfinţilor apostoli şi prooroci ai lui Hristos, prin Duhul.

VI. THE FOUNDATION: THE SIX PRINCIPLES

If God permits, to go on unto perfection we must first have the foundation laid in our hearts. This foundation is laid by the apostles and prophets.

The first principles of the oracles of God found in Hebrews 6 and taught at Water of Life since its inception, are the same teachings adhered to by founders of Rhode Island. Doyle Davidson traces his maternal lineage to eight of these men who came to America, seeking freedom to worship God and obey the scriptures as they understood them. Over 300 years ago, they established the first Six-Principle Church in this nation, and founded a civil government separate from the Church, to preserve religious freedom.

Hebrews 6

1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

3 And this will we do, if God permit.

1 Corinthians 3

10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
