g. EL BAUTISMO ES DADO A AQUELLOS QUIENES CREEN EN EL EVANGELIO Y OBEDECEN A DIOS

Marcos 16

17 Estas señales seguirán a los que creen: En mi nombre echarán fuera demonios, hablarán nuevas lenguas,

Hechos 5

32 Nosotros somos testigos suyos de estas cosas, y también el Espíritu Santo, el cual ha dado Dios a los que lo obedecen.

h. EL ESPÍRITU SANTO PUEDE SER PEDIDO

Lucas 11

13 Pues si vosotros, siendo malos, sabéis dar buenas dádivas a vuestros hijos, ¿cuánto más vuestro Padre celestial dará el Espíritu Santo a los que se lo pidan?

Juan 4

9 La mujer samaritana le dijo:—¿Cómo tú, siendo judío, me pides a mí de beber, que soy mujer samaritana? —porque judíos y samaritanos no se tratan entre sí—.

10 Respondió Jesús y le dijo:—Si conocieras el don de Dios, y quién es el que te dice: “Dame de beber”, tú le pedirías, y él te daría agua viva.

i. EL ESPÍRITU SANTO SOLO HABLA O TESTIFICA DE JESÚS Y JESÚS ES GLORIFICADO

Juan 15

26 »Pero cuando venga el Consolador, a quien yo os enviaré del Padre, el Espíritu de verdad, el cual procede del Padre, él dará testimonio acerca de mí.

Juan 16

13 Pero cuando venga el Espíritu de verdad, él os guiará a toda la verdad, porque no hablará por su propia cuenta, sino que hablará todo lo que oiga y os hará saber las cosas que habrán de venir.

14 Él me glorificará, porque tomará de lo mío y os lo hará saber.

15 Todo lo que tiene el Padre es mío; por eso dije que tomará de lo mío y os lo hará saber.

j. NOSOTROS NO ORAMOS AL ESPÍRITU SANTO

Lucas 11

1 Aconteció que estaba Jesús orando en un lugar y, cuando terminó, uno de sus discípulos le dijo: —Señor, enséñanos a orar, como también Juan enseñó a sus discípulos.

2 Él les dijo:—Cuando oréis, decid: »“Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos,
santificado sea tu nombre.Venga tu Reino.

Juan 16

23 En aquel día no me preguntaréis nada. De cierto, de cierto os digo que todo cuanto pidáis al Padre en mi nombre, os lo dará.

24 Hasta ahora nada habéis pedido en mi nombre; pedid, y recibiréis, para que vuestro gozo sea completo.

25 »Estas cosas os he hablado en alegorías; la hora viene cuando ya no os hablaré en alegorías, sino que claramente os anunciaré acerca del Padre.

26 En aquel día pediréis en mi nombre, y no os digo que yo rogaré al Padre por vosotros,

27 pues el Padre mismo os ama, porque vosotros me habéis amado y habéis creído que yo salí de Dios.

k. EL ESPÍRITU SANTO CONFORTA

Juan 14

16 Y yo rogaré al Padre y os dará otro Consolador, para que esté con vosotros para siempre:

17 el Espíritu de verdad, al cual el mundo no puede recibir, porque no lo ve ni lo conoce; pero vosotros lo conocéis, porque vive con vosotros y estará en vosotros.

18 »No os dejaré huérfanos; volveré a vosotros.

Juan 14

26 Pero el Consolador, el Espíritu Santo, a quien el Padre enviará en mi nombre, él os enseñará todas las cosas y os recordará todo lo que yo os he dicho.

Hechos 9

31 Entonces las iglesias tenían paz por toda Judea, Galilea y Samaria; eran edificadas, andando en el temor del Señor, y se acrecentaban fortalecidas por el Espíritu Santo.

l. EL ESPÍRITU SANTO DA GOZO

1 Tesalonicenses 1

6 Vosotros vinisteis a ser imitadores nuestros y del Señor, recibiendo la palabra en medio de gran tribulación, con el gozo que da el Espíritu Santo.

Romanos 14

17 porque el reino de Dios no es comida ni bebida, sino justicia, paz y gozo en el Espíritu Santo.

g. BAPTISM GIVEN TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE THE GOSPEL AND OBEY GOD

Mark 16

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Acts 5

32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

h. HOLY SPIRIT CAN BE ASKED FOR

Luke 11

13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

John 4

9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

i. THE HOLY SPIRIT ONLY SPEAKS OR TESTIFIES OF JESUS, AND JESUS IS GLORIFIED

John 15

26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

j. WE DO NOT PRAY TO THE HOLY GHOST

Luke 11

1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

John 16

23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.

26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

k. THE HOLY SPIRIT COMFORTS

John 14

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

John 14

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Acts 9

31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.

l. THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES JOY

1 Thessalonians 1

6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.

Romans 14

17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
