5. BOTEZUL SUFERINȚEI
Botezul suferinței este încercarea credinței noastre în durere, prigonire și suferință. După ce Isus a fost uns cu Duhul Sfânt, a fost dus de acel Duh în pustie pentru a fi ispitit de diavol. Când S-a întors din pustie, S-a întors în puterea Duhului. Și noi, dacă suntem ucenicii lui Isus, vom fi puși să facem același lucru.
Luca 4
1 Isus, plin de Duhul Sfînt, S'a întors dela Iordan, şi a fost dus de Duhul în pustie,
2 unde a fost ispitit de diavolul timp de patruzeci de zile. N'a mîncat nimic în zilele acelea; şi, după ce au trecut acele zile, a flămînzit.
13 După ce L -a ispitit în toate felurile, diavolul a plecat dela El, pînă la o vreme.
14 Isus, plin de puterea Duhului, S'a întors în Galilea, şi I s'a dus vestea în tot ţinutul deprimprejur.
15 El învăţa pe oameni în sinagogile lor, şi era slăvit de toţi.

1 Atunci Isus a fost dus de Duhul în pustie, ca să fie ispitit de diavolul.

21 El a întrebat -o: ,,Ce vrei?`` ,,Porunceşte``, I -a zis ea, ,,ca, în Împărăţia Ta aceşti doi fii ai mei să şadă unul la dreapta şi altul la stînga Ta.``
22 Drept răspuns Isus a zis: ,,Nu ştiţi ce cereţi. Puteţi voi să beţi paharul pe care am să -l beau Eu, şi să fiţi botezaţi cu botezul cu care am să fiu botezat Eu?`` ,,Putem``, I-au zis ei.
23 Şi El le -a răspuns: ,,Este adevărat că veţi bea paharul Meu, şi veţi fi botezaţi cu botezul cu care am să fiu botezat Eu: dar a şedea la dreapta şi la stînga Mea, nu atîrnă de Mine s'o dau, ci este păstrată pentru aceia pentru cari a fost pregătită de Tatăl Meu.``
Matei 3
11 Cît despre mine, eu vă botez cu apă, spre pocăinţă; dar Celce vine după mine, este mai puternic decît mine, şi eu nu sînt vrednic să -I duc încălţămintele. El vă va boteza cu Duhul Sfînt şi cu foc.
2 Corinteni 1
5 Căci, după cum avem parte din belşug de suferinţele lui Hristos, tot aşa, prin Hristos avem parte din belşug şi de mîngîiere.
6 Aşa că, dacă sîntem în necaz, sîntem pentru mîngîierea şi mîntuirea voastră; dacă sîntem mîngîiaţi, sîntem pentru mîngîierea voastră, care se arată prin faptul că răbdaţi aceleaşi suferinţe ca şi noi.
7 Şi nădejdea noastră pentru voi, este neclintită, pentrucă ştim că, dacă aveţi parte de suferinţe, aveţi parte şi de mîngîiere.

5. BAPTISM OF SUFFERING
The Baptism of suffering, the trial of our faith in affliction, persecution, and suffering. After Jesus was anointed and full of the Holy Ghost, he was driven by that Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. When he returned from the wilderness he returned in the power of the Spirit. We also, if we are to be disciples of Jesus will be led to do the same.
Luke 4
1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
