While growing up I heard about angels but was never told what their purpose was. What I saw in pictures were that they had wings and appeared as men and that was it. God started revealing to me about angels and their purpose after I came to Water Of Life.
A week or so ago I was talking with a friend and this testimony came up about how God sent angels to help me in a situation at work. I think it occurred during the summer of 1993. I was having coffee with a friend/client of mine and I was on a break from work, when a man approached our table and handed me his name and phone number on a piece of paper. He came up on my right hand side and I didn’t even think to look up to see what he looked like. And then he mumbled something like “call me sometime”.
To say the least I wasn’t interested at all in calling him, and when he walked away from our table I tore the paper in half and didn’t think much of it. Well, I think he witnessed me tearing up his precious number and after I left my friend and went back to work, within the hour the front desk began to get threatening phone calls directed towards me. The man obviously saw where I worked and retrieved the salon number to harass me.
I was very busy that day with clients and my employer immediately called mall security to deal with the situation but when they arrived to speak with me I really couldn’t tell them anything because I never saw what the man looked like. At first fear rose up in me because this mall was known for the attacks against women in the parking garage, but I knew I couldn’t give into it, I had clients all day and I didn’t want them upset. I didn’t want that fear to take me over. I tried to keep my heart on Jesus as much as I could and boy it was difficult, that devil kept calling all day long! When my day finally ended, mall security sent a young man to walk me to my car and as we approached the parking garage he told me “ you know, I’m afraid to work here”. I then replied back to him, “well… if you’re afraid I don’t need you walking me to my car”! He actually turned around and went back into the building and I went to my car ( the devil that was calling all day was not in the garage) and I wasn’t afraid walking out there alone, by THAT time I was looking for a devil to try something!
A day or so later I was talking to God about that situation, and all of a sudden God brought to my remembrance of my friend and I sitting at that table and He showed me a man sitting across from me with a cup of coffee held up to his lips, looking straight at me as if he knew what was going on. As I thought about what God was showing me, I never saw the man walk up to that table and sit down, it was like he just showed up out of nowhere. Then He showed me another man dressed in a black leather jack, with dark brown hair sitting on a bench. And as I passed this man he turned around and looked right at me without saying a word. God revealed to me that those were angels that were sent to me to deal with that man! Whatever they did to that guy, convinced him to never come back or call again! That was so amazing to me and still is! Glory be to God! The body of Christ doesn’t need body guards or security guards we have angels protecting us! Don’t be afraid, the kingdom of heaven as at hand, repent and believe this gospel!
